Summary of Russia’s First Affiliate Marketing Expo RACE 2012

 

The first Russian Affiliate Congress and Expo (RACE 2012), a milestone in Russian Internet, successfully finished on 9 November. The event was held over two days at Moscow's Crocus Expo IEC.

Affiliate programs are an important factor in the global Internet economy. Their successful operation takes a certain level of the market development and willingness of webmasters to use this modern and the most effective monetization tool. In Russia and other CIS countries, this sector is developing at a rapid pace and RACE expo is an important and natural step in this direction.

The expo was a success largely due to the fact that it was a targeted event. RACE 2012 attracted over 1,000 professionals from its target audience, including owners and managers of affiliate programs, advertisers, webmasters, bloggers, owners of Internet resources, SEO and SMM professionals, marketers, specialized advertising and PR agencies. Many visitors spent both days at the exhibition where they actively socialized and learned about the exhibitors’ offers. Upbeat business atmosphere prevailed in all congress sections and exhibition booths.

And the Internet is good for the rest of things”, believes Oleg Vlasov, RACE exhibition director.

The expo agenda also included a master class festival covering hot topics in affiliate marketing, SEO and SMM. Rich practical experience and professional tips were shared by 36 speakers. On the first day a full house was brought in the four congress sections featuring guest speakers such as Alexander Agapov, Tatiana Sigacheva, Jean Fourmeau, Olesya Moskotova Alexander Dronov, Alexander Savchenkov. The next day the crowd long held Tober Marcus, Matthias Bachor, Alexander Bachmann and Gary Beal, a long-awaited guest from the U.S.

A pleasant treat for the visitors was the availability of free Wi-Fi Internet not just in a special lounge area, but also all over the exhibition. So the Internet was at RACE 2012 both literally and figuratively!
