According to Google blog, advertisers will be able to place their products using AMP pages on AdWords in two weeks.
Accelerated Mobile Pages are a set of scripts for immediate web pages display on mobiles. This technology enables fast download of resources and doesn’t depend on Internet speed and content volume. Google launched AMP landing pages a year ago. In search results, they are marked with a lightning icon and appear first in ranking.
From now on, Google offers a possibility of ads placing on AMP landing pages. In fact, only text messages are available on the service and ads caching can be processed on no other web browsers except for Android Chrome. However, more functions and browsers will be added in the nearest future.
The new version of AdWords interface allows simpler tracking of the total statistics of AMP resources, including bounce rate. This will help advertisers to eliminate errors and make a project more effective.
Google AMP representatives have tested the new service obtaining a brilliant result: travel company Wego managed to increase conversion by 95% and decrease bounce rate by 31%. Retailer Greenweez raised conversions by 80% and reduced CPA by 66% within two months.
Google representatives also noted that AMP landing pages load immediately on mobiles while usual ones – with delay.
